Stuffed Peppers

These are so easy to make and delicious too!
Stuffed Peppers
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground pork
2-4 Green Peppers
1 cup of any cooked rice (can use Uncle Bens Microwave Brown rice too)
1 egg
¼ c chopped onion
Salt, Pepper, parsley and garlic powder (can use fresh parsley and fresh garlic if desired)
1 can of Tomato Soup
Cut tops off of peppers, remove seeds and clean. Par boil peppers covered in water for 10 minutes. Chop tops up into small pieces and add to meat mixture. Once all ingredients are mixed, place peppers in a baking dish and fill with meat mixture. Spoon the remaining meat mixture around peppers to help them stand up. Cover all meat with ketchup. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. This is very good. I served it with a side of corn and French bread.

Baby Takes A Trip to the Dentist

I happen to look down at the rug and lo and behold there was a canine tooth laying on the rug.
After some frantic mouth checks (two), it was determined that Baby had a broken tooth.
We  worried that she might be in pain and rushed her in to the Vet. He said it was broken below the gum line and the root was exposed.
Long story short. Baby had to have 4 broken teeth surgically removed at a cost of $3,000.
We would have paid $30,000 so the price wasn't an issue when it comes to our fur children. And afterwards I found out they offer pet insurance. Who would of known?? Us obviously!
I asked the Vet what could have caused her teeth to break and raw hide chews were the culprit.
Be careful giving rawhide chews to your pets. They are not good for them.
Baby is okay now. She is a little sloppy when she eats but at least I know she isn't in any pain.
Tinkerbelle will be next for a dental check up. Lets hope she doesn't have any broken teeth.

Rainy Day

Welcome all you soggy friends.
Welcome to Alphabe ~ Thursday's letter "R"

It's raining
It's pouring
The old man is snoring.....
To some, a day like today is boring
but not me.
I love the rain.
Beautiful rain.
We need it to wash and replenish the earth
and make all things anew like a green rebirth.
It can stop the sinkholes.
It's just plain good for the soul.
Beautiful rain.
It's raining
It's pouring
This old woman is singing.

Just Checking in....

For some reason Blogger won't let me upload any pictures.

So for now I will just say this without pictures.....

Many unexplainable things happen in life. Sometimes it boils down to a man made or natural earthly scientific chain of events.

I know most of you have already heard about the man that went to sleep and was sucked into a 100 foot sinkhole that was to become his grave. My heart goes out to him and his family. I don't know about you, but I live in Florida and I often hear my house ping and pop at night and I am now even more concerned. I live near the shore and they say sinkholes don't open up over on the coast but our earth is constantly changing.

Talk about changes happening, I read that they are telling Marines to save every bullet and any gasoline they can. Why? Why can't a Congressman or  a Senator or the President give up some of that lavish lifestyle they live? Without the tools our armed forces need they won't be able to defend and protect us let alone themselves.

Ok, I got those two issues off my chest. I hope everyone is keeping warm and staying dry. I am enjoying our rainy day here in Florida because we need it!
